How Blogging can send you to an Early Grave?
Have you ever thought of the fact that blogging can indeed send you to an early grave? Hahaha! Please don’t be scared. This post isn’t about what you think. I’m not by anyway going to discuss death.
But there is one interesting thing here. Everyone wants to go to heaven but no one wants to die! This reminds me if a story of Little Rose who started crying in church. She was in Sunday school to be exact. Madam Jane, her Sunday School teacher just walked up to her to inquire more.
Little Rose, why are you crying?-Madam Jane asked. Not knowing it all boiled down to an earlier question she asked. Who wants to go to heaven? All the kids raised their except her simply because her mother has warn her to come home straight-away after service. Hahaha..
What necessitated this post? You see, it wasn’t my intention to be a blogger. Maybe I was doing that unconsciously. My online journey as a blogging-blogger all began with poetry. Writing poems
is was what I was good at. I have some many poems scattered all over many poetry sites I can’t even recollect. During my those days of writing those poetry, that’s when I came across of one reader.
Enjoy one or two of my poems and let me continue. I want to know what you make of those poems as well
Tired Of Running.
Stands like a cracked bronze statue
in a museum
talking, smiling ‘we are tired with life’
We struggle to frustrate
old pressures on our backs,
rain beats the ground, we flounder, slip
But still has to survive the implications
Having travelled far, I came upon
mountains of histories ,
dead lakes on which libraries are erected
wheels of the train pass us
chattering like idiots
billows of future meandered, followed the rainbow
Sugar and salt are same to a dying tongue
I must try to join
the broken particles of my slate
though the line maybe there
and only keen eyes will see that my slate broke once,
and on walking was joined
the slate with a line, not black, not white
I will hitch hike with pilgrims to Vietnam to harvest rice
This was the exact poem which brought me in the world of blogging. One of my readers thought I could be making thousands of dollars with my poems if I create a blog. I was just as naïve as everybody.
She recommended to me blogger.com. I wasted no time at all and just hopped on board with my first blog. There I was lambasting the blog with all my poems all in the name of making some cool cash! Hahaha
I thought all one has to do was to just create the blog and then traffic will start flowing in. I saw something monetize on my blogger dashboard and I followed suit. Within some few hours,I saw my fate with Adsense. My account has being approved! Hurray!
Ads were floating all over my blog but the issue there was, where is the money? I never really read the terms of conditions. That’s something I still don’t do! A bad habit though!
Clicking on those ads myself brought in $28 within some few days but I woke up and was hit with reality, the reason behind my blog was no more. Adsense has banned my account. what! this can be!
I’ve gotten more than 10 Adsense account thereafter. So if I tell you how to get an a new Adsense account even after being banned, don’t doubt me!
I learnt a lot through blogger. Many bloggers were talking about how to make some cool cash through a custom domain. So the main idea for purchasing .com was to share poetry stuffs and not to blog on blogging! hahaha
So how can blogging send you to an early grave? Hmm, I guess your guess is as good as mine. Following money as a blogger and the love of instant results will obviously doom your blogging dreams. There isn’t anything as instant results in blogging. It takes a lot of time and hard work.
Blogging is like planting a bamboo not tomato. It takes a lot of time for it to sprout out and when it does, it lasts for years!
